Csilla Toldy:

Csilla is a very experienced yoga practitioner who studied with Andrea Durant, Marie Quail and Francoise Barbira -Freedman. For many years Csilla has specialised in Yoga for Pregnancy and Mothers and Baby Yoga. She has only recently returned to taking Beginners and General Yoga classes at The Yoga Studio, much to the delight of students who have worked with her. Although her style is seemingly very gentle these classes are progressively more challenging. Csilla's aim is to provide a strong basis for further practice incorporating classic yoga techniques.

Csilla is now ytaking her own practice to a deeper level with the practice of Raja Yoga and she is delighted to be able to share this understanding of meditiaion with others.

The Magic of Meditation - with Peter Bligh

People who are really good at what they do make it look easy. Teachers, probably above all, are no exception. The best teachers teach from example and above all they teach from the heart.

Those of us who were fortunate enough to be able to spend time in the Studio with Peter Bligh over the last weekend and again on Tuesday afternoon were indeed fortunate. We sat with a special teacher.

Peter travels light and carries the essentials, most of which don’t show up on the scales. A profound knowledge of yoga and the ability to transmit his understanding. His understanding is based on his own practice of meditation, which he has learned from his teachers and made his own.

Peter created a space for us to learn what he wanted to teach. He was very clear about what he wanted to put across and it was all very pragmatic. ‘First, you have to find a comfortable position in which to sit.’ ‘You’re not here to sit cross-legged. You’re here to meditate.’ ‘Open your mouth wide when saying AUM and it comes out louder.’ …..’Watch that mind, you’ve got to teach it you’re in control…..’ ‘ ….. breathe ….. watch the breath ….. count the breath ….. come back to the breath…..always come back to the breath ……….. so many ways to practise meditation …... don’t have to be special ….. so easy to bring them into everyday life  …..’

And then there was the magic.                                                                        Susan McCrum
